On the go Breakfast Bars

We love these on-the-go breakfast granola bars; they are totally perfect for when you are rushing out of the door in the morning to take with you for either breakfast or a snack later in the day.
You can swap out any of the ingredients to your favourite ones or to suit any food allergies or intolerances.

Ingredients

1 Ripe banana

1.5 Tsp Cinnamon

Pinch of nutmeg

¼ Cup of Cranberries

¼ Cup Pumpkin Seeds

¼ Cup Chia Seeds

¼ Cup Flax Seeds

1 Cup of Gluten Free Oats
-
⅓ Cup Nut butter of your choice
-
3 Tbs of Maple Syrup
Directions
Pre heat oven to 170-180 degrees
Mash the banana in a mixing bowl
Stir in the oats, seeds, cinnamon, nutmeg and dried fruit
In a small pan gently heat the nut butter and maple syrup until warmed through then add to the bowl of mixture
Prepare a baking tray by covering it in baking paper/greaseproof paper
Spoon the mixture onto the tray and flatten it out across the tray so that the mixture is a thickness that is even and the thickness you would like your bars
Place in the oven and bake for 16-20 minutes until a nice golden brown colour
Remove from the oven and carefully cut into squares/bars then leave to cool fully before removing from the tray
